It’s been nine months since we last lit the fire…a lot can happen in that time…and a lot has. This familiar old flame knows exactly how to fuel my creativity and I’m excited about the season ahead. This is the time of year where inspiration takes root, songs and stories are born and ideas flourish. I welcome the cooler months…particularly this time around. I have a new album to nurture.
With the support of the Gold Coast Regional Arts Development Fund I will be stepping into the studio in August with some stunning musical companions; people who inspire me with their talent, their generosity and enthusiasm. I can hardly wait….
….but there’s a lot to do before then.

We’ll be touring the show (part of Arts Queensland’s arTour showcase) through regional Queensland in July and are excited about meeting some new audiences and seeing some old friends. I’m also involved in a new vocal ensemble with the breathtaking Beat Lehmann, Kacey Patrick, Angela Little, Carl Pannuzzo and Melissa Western…more about that later.
Linsey Pollak and I launched our new comedy/music duo, Slavka & Živko, to an outrageously wonderful audience at the Maleny Music Weekend in April. We’ve been blown away so far by the warm response and enjoy (a little too much) bringing Slavka and Živko’s special kind of Eurodance beats to the world…not to mention Euro-animal prints. As Živko would say “Ve vill make you move, rock and roll and ve vill make you loving life!!!”.
For now, here’s a few snippets of rehearsals and demos as we prepare for the new solo album, recorded with my producer and dear friend Michael Fix.
